Fresh from leading Luxury Escapes’ sold-out Signature Series tour through Türkiye, Delia will return to his Maltese roots, guiding travellers through the rich flavours, history and culture of Malta and its sister island, Gozo, as part of an exclusive eight-day itinerary departing in April 2027.

Alongside unforgettable culinary experiences, travellers will explore Malta’s stunning landscapes and rich heritage, including Mdina, the ancient, fortified city that famously served as King’s Landing in the first season of Game of Thrones.
From the bustling seafood markets of Marsaxlokk to candlelit countryside feasts, travellers will experience Malta’s vibrant food scene firsthand, meeting the chefs, producers and local artisans behind some of the country’s most iconic dishes, including pastizzi (savoury pastries), freshly caught seafood and traditional slow-cooked stews.
Delia said he can’t wait to show off both the country and the cuisine.

“For me, Maltese cuisine right now is at its most exciting,” he said. “Young and brave chefs, artisans and producers are working side by side with their peers who champion traditional Maltese cuisine that has been shaped by centuries of influence, from Phoenicians to French, the British and North Africa. Malta’s unique position between Sicily and Tunisia has enabled it to become one of the region’s most distinctive food cultures.
“Growing up with a strong connection to my Maltese heritage, I’m excited to have the opportunity to share this destination with travellers and introduce them to the Malta I know and love.”

Luxury Escapes Co-Founder and CEO, Adam Schwab, said Malta is emerging as one of southern Europe’s most exciting travel destinations, with bookings to the island nation increasing 22 per cent year-on-year.
“While Italy, France and Greece continue to attract travellers year after year, Malta boasts rich history, spectacular coastlines, understated European glamour and an exceptional food scene that remains relatively undiscovered,” he said.

“Shane’s personal connection to Malta and passion for its cuisine will give our travellers access to experiences they simply couldn’t have on their own and really bring their trip to life.”
The Malta Signature Series Tour is priced from AU$13,130 per person including all internal transfers, luxury accommodation, behind-the-scenes guided tours, select meals, and exclusive access to culinary experiences curated and personally hosted by Shane Delia.
