Ennismore’s is gearing up for the Australian debut of Mondrian Hotels and Residences in 2025 with the opening of Mondrian Gold Coast.
Located on the beachfront at Burleigh Heads, the new property stands at 24 floors, offering guests expansive ocean and hinterland views.
Since its launch in Los Angeles in 1996, Mondrian has established itself as a ‘forward-thinking’ lifestyle brand, led by visionary designers and dreamers. Today, there are 11 properties globally, based in key cultural destinations.
The brand aims to deliver a new direction in antipodean style across architecture, design, cuisine, wellness and cultural connection.
Mondrian Hotels and Residences Brand COO, Chadi Farhat, is confident the brand will be successful in the Australian market.
“Australia has long been a strategic focus for Mondrian’s growth, and the Gold Coast was a focal point thanks to its phenomenal natural setting, rich cultural landscape, and vibrant social scene,” Farhat said.
“Over the last couple of years, we have seen a rising demand for lifestyle brands, where locals and international guests are looking for authentic, creative and immersive experiences – all the hallmarks of the Mondrian brand.
“It felt a natural choice to bring Mondrian to the Gold Coast and we believe it will resonate strongly with the local market and lend something entirely new to the hospitality space.”
Across its 208 keys, the hotel features a range of accommodation options Guests can choose from studios and suites to two- and three-bedroom Beach Houses, and the Sky House, conceived by award-winning Studio Carter.
Designed by leading Australian architects Fraser and Partners, Mondrian Gold Coast features a wellness space and spa, an extensive events space, an oceanfront restaurant and pool club on the third floor, as well as a ground-floor restaurant with an outdoor terrace, designed by Alexander and Co.
