Qantas customers travelling in Economy have a new ‘wine time’ with the airline opening its complimentary on-board ‘bar’ at midday, brought forward from 4:00pm, on all domestic and regional flights across Australia.

A Qantas spokesperson said from this month (December), domestic customers travelling in Economy will be offered a choice of complimentary premium Australian wine or beer from midday, to enjoy with their lunch or afternoon snacks.

“Customers travelling on Qantas Domestic and QantasLink flights will be able to choose from a selection of red or white wine from across Australia and One Fifty Lashes Premium Pale Ale,” the spokesperson said.

“Previously, bar service on domestic flights commenced from 4.00pm but for the first time in the airline’s history, it will now be made available on an ongoing basis from midday on all domestic services for those interested in an earlier travel tipple.”

The complimentary bar service will conclude at the end of the evening’s flights.
