LATAM will also add a new frequency on the Santiago (Chile)-Easter Island/Rapa Nui route, reaching six flights per week as of this month.
The news has come as passenger traffic in January 2023 (measured in revenue passenger-kilometers – RPK) grew 24.9% compared to the same period in 2022, and operations measured in ASK (available seat-kilometers) increased 23.9%.
Services between Santiago (Chile) and Porto Alegre (Brazil) will be commence with three weekly flights starting in April, followed by services between Lima (Peru) and Brasilia (Brazil), with daily flights starting in April.
Up next is services between Bogota (Colombia) and Guayaquil (Ecuador), with seven weekly flights starting in April, then between Bogota (Colombia) and Orlando (United States), with daily flights starting in July.
A new frequency will be added on the Santiago (Chile)-Easter Island/Rapa Nui route, totalling six flights per week as of February.
As part of the Joint Venture with Delta Airlines, the US airline also recently announced it will operate the seasonal route between New York (JFK) and Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (GIG) as of 16 December 2023.
